BIO
The story of the band started 2008 in Kotka Finland when lead guitarist/singer/songwriter Juuso Laitinen started to play and make songs with two friends, a guitarist and a bassist. For some time they played as a trio but quickly realized they needed a drummer. That's when Juuso asked his friend from school, Matias Ahtiainen to come along and jam, and so he's been there with him to this day as the core of the band.
The band played their first gig at Matias' stepfather's 50th birthday in the autumn of 2009. The two other original members eventually drifted away to pursuit other interests, and as Juuso and Matias had recently met guitarist Miika Lönnblad in school, he joined the band. The name of the band was also changed to Deathproof, which would stick for almost a decade.
The band now saw two bassists come and go, latter of them even performing as the lead vocalist at some point, and eventually joined forces in 2016 with multi-instrumentalist Patrick Hakamäki to handle the heavy duties of bass.
Some time in 2021 Juuso decided he wanted more freedom with the guitar on stage and began to play with the idea of a fifth member, a lead singer. He had recently met Hannu Mikkola so that's who he asked and a couple of rehearsals later he was part of the band, now re-named as Blood Red Delusion.
Some 80 gigs played and the release of debut album State Of Fear (2020) has given the band confidence and skill to pursuit greater heights in music.
